Les Leston VDM 356

The Les Leston steering wheel has a long association with Porsche, with original Les Leston wooden steering wheels fitted to a number of Porsche road and competition cars during the period. Today, our continuation steering wheels are still handmade in England by the Leston family using the original Les Leston designs.

This version has been made specifically for classic Porsche applications and features the distinctive polished alloy spokes and handcrafted wooden rim associated with original Les Leston steering wheels of the 1950s and 1960s. Its period correct appearance makes it particularly suited to Porsche 356 models and other early Porsche sports and competition cars.

This steering wheel is made to fit an original VDM steering wheel boss, providing a period correct installation for cars retaining their original VDM fitment. Suitable for Porsche 356 models including the 356 Pre A, 356A, 356B and 356C, subject to the correct VDM boss being fitted.

Each steering wheel is individually made to order using carefully selected hardwoods and is ideal for period correct restorations, historic competition cars and classic Porsche owners looking to recreate the appearance of an original Les Leston installation.
